About ScarfieTextbooks

A free noticeboard for students buying, selling or looking for textbooks and other student essentials. No listing fees or commission.

Post now for next year

Listings default to a year online. Choose an earlier hide date if you like. Post a book in November and someone starting their course next July can still find it. There’s no need to keep bumping it.

Mark it sold or archive it when you’re done. Change the hide date on your listing’s edit page whenever you need, up to a year from today. We’ll email you near expiry.

Selling or looking?

Sell an item with its price, condition and photos, or post a wanted listing with your budget and requirements. ISBN lookup is an optional way to fill in textbook details.

Contact and collection

Messages go to the seller’s inbox and email. Replies happen by email; phone numbers appear only when a seller chooses to share one. Arrange collection and payment directly with each other. The site doesn’t process payments or deliveries.

Accounts and photos

You need an account to post. Confirm your email to make your listing photos visible to others. Uploaded photos have location metadata removed. Books without a photo may show a cover from Open Library.
